HAPPY NEWS! Were home!! Two stories to tell you! First, my brother David, his wife Eula and daughter Karan planned with my wife and I to make a surprise visit to my sister Joan in Maryland on her 75th birthday. Since she reads my facebook page and is on my Sermon Planning and Preparation Class, I could not post our trip here because then it would not have been a surprise. So thats why I suddenly came up missing without warning. Hope you understand. Second, on the way to Maryland, my wife and I stopped over in New Jersey to see her sisters and niece. While there, her niece took us to see a Broadway Show about song writer Carol King. It was my first. The show was clean, no profanity, and no compromising scenes, just a lot of songs I remember growing up. But one song in particular just struck me in a special way. Here I was in New York City on watching a show on Broadway, and Im sitting in the mezzanine thinking about Jesus. As I heard the lyrics I thought, if Jesus had written a song to His disciples, this might be a good candidate.
