HARMONY OF EDUCATION All our education from the arts, science, algebra, geometry to literature should bring harmony and thus help man to realize himself/herself amidst the chaos of which he has partly contributed to bring about. As such education in the continent can be characterized by the nature of that society, and thus where it has reached in its participation in the race of consciousness. From South to North, East to West, through the central, the fight and chase toward eliminating ignorance and so bringing about a perfectly formed mind, is facing many problems, thanks that some of them have already been realized – to identify the problem is the first step toward solving it; a problem communicated is a half solved. Civil war sending out people from their respective classes is one of the major obstacles. The education of many pupil and student has been discontinued because of tribal or civil wars. Resettlement in new areas and even lose of their parents and dear ones who benefactor them is a point to reckon. Readmission to new schools has been no easy. Poverty, either due to war or due other factors has not allowed others also to go to school. Many are languished in endless poverty and destitution, such that even to buy a pencil or an exercise book of few pages is very difficult, leave alone affording the uniform or the school fees. When illness strikes some of these is the worse hit. They cannot be able to pay for their medical pills and so, they are forced to terminate education prematurely to serve first their immediate needs. They want first to escape that they have lived today, before they think of tomorrow. Worse enough some large numbers have been infected with HIV AIDS and this is an epidemic which needs a lot of care and attention, otherwise it is a gone case. Some children who have been caught up in the wrong side of the track have been forcibly moved out from the race of education.
