HARVEST THANKS A little note of thanks to all involved in our Harvest Thanksgiving Service on Sunday 12th October. Your gifts of plants, flowers, fruit and vegetables all contributed to the decoration of the church for Harvest and were later appreciated by the sick and elderly unable to join with us for the morning service of thanksgiving. Your visits with the Harvest gifts were also greatly enjoyed by our senior members and they look forward to keeping in touch with Abbey in this way. Many thanks to all who came to decorate on the Saturday morning, including those who helped to pack up and distribute the gifts after our Sunday service. We also had quite a number of practical gifts brought in for the distribution to those in need throughout the year. Non-perishable foods along with other practical items like toothpaste etc. were kindly donated by Abbey members and Alans car left well-loaded for distribution to those in need during the year, following the Cell group meeting on Harvest Sunday. A big thank-you to all who helped in any way there. As we draw together each year to thank God for all the blessings of Harvest may we also be drawn together as a congregation and equipped to share with the larger Abbey family, some unable to join with us on Sundays, as well as those in the wider community around Abbey.
