HATTIESBURG, MS- The Pine Belts Third Annual Veterans Day Extravaganza is presented by Armed Forces Top Enlisted Association - Magnolia Chapter. The extravaganza kicks off on Saturday night, November 2, 2013 with a Veterans Social/Dance. The VETERANS SOCIAL/DANCE will begin at 7pm at the American Legion Post 24 on Green Street. Light hors doeuvres and beverages will be provided, but bring your own liquor! Performance WorX, Mississippis Performing Arts Conservatory and Retail Studio, will provide music of the 60s-90s. Performance WorX will also be hosting our VETERANS IDOL this night, and they are looking for a few good men and women veterans who can sing! This event is FREE, but bring plenty of money to vote for your favorite VETERAN IDOL! The party ends at 11pm. The next Sunday night, November 10th at 7pm at Veterans Memorial Park, an honorary VETERANS VIGIL will take place for all veterans, with emphasis on Veterans of Gulf War/Desert Storm. Monday morning, November 11th at 9am, the VETERANS DAY PARADE begins at Hardy Street Baptist Church, turns right onto Ronnie Street, then left at Railroad Street, and finishes. A VETERANS DAY CEREMONY at Veterans Memorial Park follows the parade finale, and will conclude our Third Annual Veterans Day Extravaganza! The extravaganza may end, but the memories of veterans will not!
