HAUGHTY EYES AND A PROUD HEART, THE LAMP OF THE WICKED, ARE SIN (Proverbs 21:4) There are people when they become very successful by earning a job with a better pay or they are promoted over peers acquiring even a small or big position in a company or some political or public office, etc.They love nothing more than to show everyone how smart they are than others who do not hold the positions they hold. They exhibit snobbery,thinking they are better than other people but in-fact is a good way for their ego to defend itself from being arrogant/proud, and prejudiced. I would think the possibility that they are inadequate and lacking perspective!.. One of Gods greatest commandments is that we treat each other well with love and respect.. Do not be proud [arrogant; haughty], but make friends with those who seem unimportant [associate with the humble/those of low social status; or be willing to do lowly tasks].
