HAVE YOU COUNTED THE COST? “But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.” Luk.9:27 It is certain that Christ is coming the second time to take home the elects – those who surrender their lives under His Lordship; however, not everyone Christ would meet living when he comes! Some people would have been taken care of by death, so whenever death approaches, it only means such persons whose lives death has claimed: their own Christ has come! So friends, be prepared everyday for the only certain and inescapable tragedy that man dread most – and that is Death, especially for as many who are reckless in their living! It is a tragedy because of the unjustifiable severance it imposes on the dead and their loved ones. REGISTERED BUT UNTAMED DEATH! If a man knows how to drive and he is indeed a licensed motorist or driver, then, greater is the level of caution he must sustain compared to a man who is only a registered learner! A licensed motorist would drive with a thought and conviction that, ‘he is the only legitimate and reasonable driver on the road from whom an extensive amount of forethought and watchfulness is expected. He must treat every other motorist with care as he would treat a learner so as not to be implicated; and he must see them not as proficient at driving as he is. This is because: just as the law of the land would be lenient in its dealing with a registered learner even if his driving causes disasters, even so will nobody prosecute death should he kills recklessly and waste the lives of the unsuspected young, ambitious, intelligent, celebrated and accomplished people without consideration; even in the slightest manner! A learner would rather implicate a man who is already certified for driving. Just as mad man is inconsiderate and unreasonable in his action and whosoever become his victims cannot in anyway be compensated but rather be shocked and absorbed, so also, is the case of death – Death is a registered but untrained messenger, he is not considerate and is not a respecter of anyone. It is man who must prepare for the unannounced visit of death, and don’t let death catch him unaware, it is devastating if you are caught aback by death! ARO TIN DARAN NI, ORUN ELESE MEJI LON DASI! BE WISE! Do not fold ur hands as in idleness and do not be too ambitious either lest u become carried away! Rather, find out what is d will of God 4ur life and pursue just dt. Leave everything under: if God wills – because: Nothing is of surety on this side of d planet earth apart from death! Death is not considerate - It may approach when u are about to, almost or have just accomplished ur dream even without allowing u a taste of ur sweat! If death knocks a mans door, whatever good things or intention a man may have in mind to carry out is not relevant; for only what he has done so far he will be judged by. We therefore must live every moment as though the end may approach us any time. Live wisely and live in the fear of God all d time. Friends, death is a certainty, when and where is not certain! Remember God now, next 5 minutes may be too late because the unexpected can happen even to d unsuspected young people like us! Those who live for Christ dont care whether they die young or old; because – For them to live is Christ and to die is gain! But you know: that your death now would only imply waste, yet we cannot guarantee that you will yet see one more day! Give your life to Christ now and stop living for self, sin and devil. Then you won’t have to be afraid of death whether in a short while or in the long run! Final Note: No purposeful end result will attest d life of a man who concentrate so hard on life pursuit but concentrate less on God, his Creator. Selah! Maranatha (THE LORD COMETH)! HAVE YOU COUNTED THE COST i There is a line that is drawn by rejecting the Lord Where the call of His Spirit is lost And you hurried along, with the pleasure mad throng Have you counted, have you counted the cost? Chorus: Have you counted the cost, if your soul should be lost? Tho’ you gain the whole world for your own? Even now it may be that the line you have crossed, Have you counted, have you counted the cost? ii you may barter your hope of eternity’s morn, For a moment of joy at the most, For the glitter of sin and the things it will win. Have you counted, have you counted the cost? iii While the door of His mercy is open to you, Ere the depth of His love you exhaust, Won’t you come and be healed, Won’t you whisper, I yield? I have counted, I have counted the cost Good Night!
