[HAVE YOU NOTICED THIS ABOUT HATERS?] To all my FRIENDS in the INFORMATION INDUSTRY sharing a message and making things happen, I have a QUICK QUESTION ??? Over the past year, Ive noticed a TREND with HATERS. Some will post right on my timeline, but most (about 90%) will send me a personal message when something that I say POKES them and bumps up against their BELIEF SYSTEMS. Ive noticed that about 80%-90% of these people that send me a message and totally disagree with me, will say that the reason they are saying anything is because THEY CARE! They care about my reputation and want my business to do well. HAVE YOU NOTICED/EXPERIENCED THE SAME THING OR IS THIS JUST ME? Heres what I find is the underlying theme of a typical hater message: --- Hi Josh, I dont want to offend you or stand up for what I think in public because I dont like confrontation, but I hate what you just said and I totally disagree with you. IM RIGHT AND YOURE WRONG, but I dont believe in myself enough to say this publicly, and I dont want to admit this to myself so the real reason Im messaging you right now is because I CARE ABOUT YOU and your business. I dont want you to ruin your REPUTATION so you should watch what you say and not piss anyone off. I know whats best for you and your business and your reputation better than you do so you should only say what I think is okay for you to say. Thanks --- --- I generally laugh when I get a hater message like this. They are all very similar, though I do occasionally get one that makes me think HOLY SHIT! That actually kind of hurts. I might even make a HATER MESSAGE TEMPLATE that people can use and just FILL IN THE BLANK when they want to send one. :) That would be fun! So what do you think? Is this a trend or is it just me?
