HEARING WITH COMMISSIONER-DESIGNATE VĚRA JOUROVÁ The FEMM members will have an exchange of views with Ms Věra Jourová , Commissioner-designate responsible for gender equality, on 1st October, from 13.30 to 16.30. The hearing will be hold in the European Parliaments premises in Brussels. In a press conference on 10 September, President-elect Jean Claude Juncker announced the attribution of portfolios to the Commissioners-designate. Nine women form part of Junckers team and the portfolio for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality has been assigned to Czech Republic Věra Jourová (ALDE). The Hearings by the parliamentary committees will take place from 29 September to 7 October and subsequently the Parliament will vote for the endorsement of the full Commission on 22 October, which should resume duties on the 1st of November. Parliamentary committees are also invited to send written questions to the candidates on the related competences and portfolios.
