HELLO FAMILY, TIME FOR WORD OF THE DAY. YESTERDAY WAS TRUST, AND TODAY IS FAITH! Such a powerful word, FAITH, what comes to mind when you hear it? The Bible, GOD, a good friend. When I sit and think about the word faith, it makes me think of positive things, I can not think of any negative words or phrases. Surprisingly the word faith is only used twice in the old testament, but the word believe was used just under thirty times. The new testament was a different story, used almost 500 times. why the difference? Look close, in the old testament faith was shown by example, whereas the new testament was doctrinal. So what do we want to go by the O.T. or the N.T. the answer is both, the N.T. teaches us what faith is how to have it, how to use it. The O.T. was have faith by example. Just a few names from the O.T. that had great faith; Noah,Moses,Daniel and his three friends, David, Solomon,Ruth,Rachel,Mary Magdeline, and there were those whom acted on their new found faith. They had to be shown then they acted upon it. The N.T. I believe the strongest case for faith is in (Romans 3:3-4) KJV. For what if some did not believe? shall there unbelief make the FAITH of GOD without effect? GOD forbid: yea, let GOD be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, that thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged... One of the manifestations of the fruits of the SPIRIT. But the fruit of the SPIRIT is, love,joy,peace longsuffering,gentleness,goodness, FAITH, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23) KJV. SO IS YOUR FAITH STRONG ENOUGH TO GET YOU THROUGH WHAT IS COMING? PREPARE! Just as in the parable of the mustard seed., you start out small you feed and nurture it grows and blossoms, just as the mustard grows your faith grows, feed it.
