HELP! I NEED HEIRLOOM SEEDS! : I am also planting SEEDLINGS today in egg cartons I have saved. I ONLY HAVE FEW PACKETS of HEIRLOOM SEEDS I purchased a long time ago and hope they will still be good. I have no income since returning from the USA so I am doing this with things I have saved and from nature. Like saving egg cartons, yogurt containers and taking rich top soil from outside but cant get deeper soil because of rooting system with all the trees and rocks. The top soil is rich because I throw my scraps out the back into the trees for natural composting... I also save egg shells and will grind some of them to enrich the soil with calcium and add some alkaline since I believe it might be a bit acidic since so many evergreen trees. I have SPINACH (Monstrueux d Viroflay) , OKRA (Clemson Spineless), BASIL (Italian Large Leaf) and THAT IS ALL! I am doing inside container gardens for now. DOES ANYONE HAVE SEEDS FROM THEIR HEIRLOOM ORGANIC GARDEN they can share with me? I hate to seem like a beggar....but, I really cant afford and I also will share seeds as I reap them from my harvest. I would LOVE to have some Heirloom Tomatoes, Kale, Romaine Lettuce, Strawberries, HERBS of ALL SORTS, Garlic and whatever anyone can spare.
