HELP IN CORNWALL Dear Kip, Helping Dads Cornwall is a unique, dedicated, face to face support and advice service based in Hayle run by Jon Court and Gemma Trewartha. Since the withdrawal of Legal Aid on the 01st April 2013 for the majority of cases involving Family Law and Child Matters (primarily contact and residency issues involving children), an alarming void has appeared with regards to providing quality advice and direction to parents (both male and female) involved in disputes concerning the best interests of their children following separation or divorce. Helping Dads Cornwall has been established to provide much needed provision to parents (primarily fathers due to the imbalance of Family Law) faced with the distress and uncertainty of the daunting Family Court process. Jon uses the extensive knowledge and experience that he has gained first hand to help, assist and guide others during what are usually dark and exceptionally worrying times. Helping Dads Cornwall is largely operated on spare time and goodwill. This critical service needs to expand and develop to meet demand and that requires financial stimulus. >>>> Jacob says : The guy running it does so out of his own time and with no financial aid, just out of a sense of what is right.
