HELP, SAVE, RESCUE & FORGIVENESS ARE SYNONIMOUS (By NG Nicholas) Quote: When Jesus Christ declares that you are forgiven, He simply mean you are healed, freed, redeemed, rescued, saved, blessed, protected and adopted as a child of God. (NG Nicholas) This is a message I cannot continue to keep to myself my dearly beloved, I believe it will bless someone’s life as you read carefully. When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. (Matthew 8:16, 17) In the afore mentioned proof text, our father Matthew was quoting what the old prophets declared in the bible concerning our Lord and personal savior Jesus Christ. Speaking on help, save, rescue, healing and many other areas in which we wish aid in our daily lives, I remember an encounter which I had when I was 9yrs old. This encounter has been alive and fresh in my memory in the day by day evolution of my life. My father land is a terrestrial surrounded by rivers, one day I went for swimming without the knowledge of my parents or guardians, so I decided to carry a very big bucket so as to come back with water after swimming in other to escape cautions and beatings from my parents, without considering the fact that our house is far away from the riverside. After having a pleasant moment of swimming in that river I dressed up, filled my big bucket with water then decided to journey to our residence. The Consequence: “After carrying the big bucket of water on my head from a very long distance I got so tired, then I know within me that I needed help from anyone even from those who don`t like me, but unfortunately I did not meet anyone along the way and by the time I got home my hands and legs started vibrating seriously like a machine, to the point that I can no longer move anymore so I just stood still in front of the door and was just vibrating more and more such that there was an unimaginable heat all over me. The Pandemonium: “the only thing I could have done to free myself was to throw away the bucket but I was afraid to do that, based on the ground that it was a malleable rubber bucket, however, there arose in me a great tempest that made me burst out and I SHOUTED: MUMMY……HELP ME…….(a cry for help) And behold I saw mum running outside the door towards me. Favorably, my mum lifted this immense burden away from me then I became a free child. The Caution: Mum only warned me not to do things that will make me carry such huge burdens again. This encounter demonstrates diver’s lessons which we really need to learn, speaking of a man Jesus met at the pool of Bethesda. It is written that; When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time; he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. (John 5:6-9) John 5:14 says that “Later Jesus found him in the temple, and said unto him, See, you are well again: go and sin no more, or something worse may happen to you. Prophet TB Joshua (2009, p30) also stated that Sin is the disease of the soul. When the soul is pardoned, it is healed. When Jesus said, “Go, your sins are forgiven”, He equally meant to say, “Go, you are healed. • Every day in life we find ourselves doing things that the enemy (Satan and his agents of darkness) keeps using to violate our conscience. • Each time we look in the mirror we see our dirty and unworthy we really are and this makes us to hate ourselves. • Often times we feel that life is useless and meaningless whenever those people who we rely on fails to help us. • We always find ourselves in the acts of Adam and Eve, by this I mean running away from God when we come short of his glory; instead of running to him for help/forgiveness. • We keep falling into despair when things fall apart, forgetting the fact that often God uses tough times to preserve our lives. I have good news for you reading this: • A man may be poor, yet be a friend of God; a man may be in need of help and yet be a citizen of Heaven. There is hope for every man on earth, Jesus is the hope. • God love sinners unconditionally, just that he hate the act called Sin, what you did yesterday does not matter, what you did just now does not matter when you run to God. Dearly beloved, make a heart decision to draw nearer to God today, it is so profitable, for you will find forgiveness. • For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:16-17) I prophesy to your life, mercy and favour will speak for you, you are forgiven, you are free, you are redeemed, you are rescued, you are saved and you shall find help in your entire life endeavor in the name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray: Father we thank you for your word which is our hope, thank you Jesus Christ for paying all our trespasses on the cross of Calvary, by your stripes we are forgiven, we are healed, we are rescued, we are saved and we possess the salvation of our souls in your holy name we pray. Amen We are forgiven………..thank you lord.
