HERE IT IS AGAIN, WHATS ON MY MIND!!! this day it has been Y_O_U_T_H. Now that word is a word that we all should take a strong thought about. Many a time as parents, we forget that word, and think of other words, like kid, child, youngster, brat, spoiled, or lazy, or dimwit, or bothersome. Not nice words, but sometimes they are used by parents. and then theres the cuss words used to describe them. Yet, how many think of YOUTH. In the old days, their years were described nicely and lovingly, such as youngster, meaning they were young. How did we lose that, I wonder. YOUTH. a youngster who is inexperienced, doesnt know how to explain themselves thourghly, is inadequate in doing things, but we dont teach them or have patience to. This world has accepted the hurry up part of life, and run and run and run, and expect the youth to just KNOW. How can they, when they arent taught? how can they when the parents werent taught either, and just stumble along doing the best they can in issues as they arrive? Know I am not condemning or thinking about anyone, but the world as it is seen today. We have forgotten to allow little ones to play in the muddypuddles, and get grimey and gritty, and dirty, and laugh and have fun. oh some make an attempt i know, but for a few moments in a week, or month or even a year or more. No, YOUTH is getting to be something else. or at least expected as something else. course here on the island, we have time, but not everywhere. Jesus has said, suffer not the children, and that we are to come to HIM as little children. well, just a word that came to mind, and something to think about. I love kids, and youngsters, and now am too old to play the games they have, like cell phones, texting, videos, etc, but no matter how old, i can play in a muddypuddle, and kick thru the puddles, and push on a swing, and play marbles in the dirt. and laugh and banter, without texting. so, thank you for letting me speak here, and may you all be filled with the wisdom God has given you, to love those little ones, and know how precious those teens are, and also to realize, that what you are, they grow to be.
