HERNANDO COUNTY CITIZENS GROUP The next meeting of HERNANDO COUNTY 4 LIBERTY will be at Coney Island on Thursday, August 1 at 7 PM The meeting will be a three part discussion facilitated by Hamilton Hanson with all the attendees participating. It is time to begin to resolve issues and make our desires known to our governors. We the People must take back the governance of our county. The County Administrator conducted an on-line survey which elicited 800 responses from a variety of citizens. We must put forth our version of what we feel county government should look like. Hamilton has talked with some 50 people in one-on-one discussions of our local governance. Part one of this meeting will be for the group as a whole to take that survey and determine what kind of local governance we want. Hamilton and Tom Cuba have developed Leadership Discovery Workshops. Part two of this meeting will be one of those “sessions”, during which we will resolve an issue of Hernando County governance. We cannot sit idly by and merely talk about the issues, we must now be able to present reasoned “position papers” to our elected officials. As an interlude, Pat and Shirley will announce any and all events for the next months in which we would like to have all persons participate. The HC4L Expo was fabulous, as was the courthouse anti-drone rally in getting information into the hands of citizens. We must do more! For those who wish to have group members participate in “events”, be prepared to provide us with a flier describing the event plus information regarding the needs for personnel and materiel. The final period for the evening will be a CITIZENS COMMENTS discussion of anything you would like to offer to the group. Each person will be given five minutes to speak on any appropriate subject. After every person has had their singular time to speak, we can remain in the room and talk about those comments or any other topic you’d like to raise. We MUST spend time consolidating and solidifying our positions on topics and issues of interest to We the People, AND convey those resolutions to our governing authorities. SEE YOU THERE!!! 7 PM!!
