HI EVERYONE - STAYZ HERE ** WEDNESDAY NIGHT ** 6pm-7pm NEW - BEGINNERS COURSE (Annie, Gary & Karen) Introduction to Salsa - Course can take 6-9 months Pending on Students regular attendance, dedication and understanding. **THURSDAY NIGHT CLASS ** It was great to see everybody back at class. CLASS 1 * 6pm-7pm - IMPROVERS CLASS - STAYZ This class is designed to take the Beginner Plus Student - to the next level. Students must have done at least 6months of the beginners course, before stepping up to this level and this class. (Some beginners who have had previous dance/ salsa/ballroom an dance experience - who can obviously understand the fundamentals, may be invited to the IMPROVERS CLASS by the Beginner instructors. CLASS 2 * 7pm-8pm - INTERMEDIATE CLASS - STAYZ There are a couple of factors in this class to be aware of. 1. Wide range of Different levels 2. Only Optional CLASS above IMPROVERS LEVEL in the region 3. Wide variety of students, who have danced from 1 year to 10 years. 4. Returning Students who have been away - or busy - or studnts who come casually (every now and then) which always casue Speedbumps to those attending reguarlly on a weekley basis. (WHICH ALWAYS CAUSES - HOLD UPS IN THE FLOW OF TEACHING - and progression of those Regular students - because we are forced to always re-teach - holding up progression.) 5. IN THE ONE HOUR - OF INTERMEDIATES CLASS The many personalities, wide range of levels, and students all like different things...such as * BACHATA * RUEDA * NEW CHA CHA CHA INTRO * SALSA - Current Training * SALSA - New Combo Training * SALSA - Social Dance Training * PREP - for Competiton * PREP - For Performance. AS YOU CAN SEE, MY JOB WITHIN THAT HOUR is TO EXCITE, GROW, PROGRESS, CHALLENGE, All the while Tecahing Developing everyones individual DANCE NEEDS. All the above facets, (The fact that we ahve one class per week to address these things) Makes it quite a tuff number to balance at times. * THE FIRST CLAS BACK EACH TERM, is ABOUT FINDING OUT WHERE WE ARE ALL AT FROM THE PREVIOUS TERM, Looking at it from my TEACHERS POINT of VIEW, ACCESSING, and then WEEK TWO, being able to indentify what needs working on and progression. * ALL THE WHILE TECAHING THOSE WHO WANT TO BE TAUGHT, ALL THE WHILE CHALLENGING THOSE THAT WANT TO COMPETE, ALL THE WHILE BUILDING ON LAST YEARS _ PERFORMANCES (which were great, and challenged us to aim for a goal) - AIMING TO PREP EARLY FOR NEXT YEARS - STAR SALSA SHOWCASE 2014 * (Rather have you a part of the show, than on the sideline watching it) * ALL THE WHILE FITTING IN THE FUN SIDE WE ENJOY SUCH AS RUEDA, EXCITEMENT OF LEARNING A NEW STYLE IN STRET CHA CHA, ALL THE WHILE IMPROVING and LOVE FOR SMOOTH BACHATA MOVES, ALL THE WHILE CONTINUING TO - Fine Tune old SALSA COMBOS, Challenge with NEW SALSA COMBOS - Train SOCIAL DANCE Ettiqutte, ALL THE WHILE...teaching good, controlled LEAD & RESPOND..... THE INTERMEDIATES CLASS - Is not a defined or Labelled CLASS. It is a Class, wth a wide range of personalities, levels...needs and wants - ALL SMACK BANGED INTO THAT ONE HOUR. Im Sorry - I cannot committ to more classes, but we just dont have the numbers to warrant that. I LOVE THIS CLASS, THE RANGE IT OFFERS, ITS DIVERSITY. YOU WOULD HAVE TO PAY OVER $40-$60 a Week to get this coaching in the big cities and overseas. I HOPE THIS CLEARS UP ANY QUESTIONS THAT ARE COMING FROM OUT OF THE GRAPEVINES, or THE WHISPERS I AM HEARING AROUND THE PLACE. CLASS ONE: Recap - see where we are at- access who knows what, who needs what, whos where with what... CLASS TWO - EIGHT - Work on what I have recognised needs work from week one, that I saw. LOL! FINALLY - All this has to be donw with 2-3 ladies per guy, its tuff, but do get there...
