HIDDEN PAIN Indeed, virtually everyone has an ugly tale to tell! Attimes u think you have d greatest problem but when u hear other peoples story, thats when u realize yours is little Just after fajr today morning, I discused with a little boy around the masjid. Me: salamu alaykum Boy: wa alaykumsalam (smiles) Me: (I poked him) you are just performing ablution, I hope its not for subhi? Boy: definately not, its for duhaa Me: hmmmm. Great! So how is your mum? Boy: she is fine, at home Me: ok and your dad? Boy: (looks at me and turns his face away) Me: whats wrong? Boy: (frowns his face) Me: common talk to me Boy: (starts smiling) Me: now tell me Boy: he should be fine wherever he is Me: what do u mean? What happened? Boy: he was arrested by the police about 2yrs ago, simply bcos of his appearance and the dawah! Me: hmmmmmmmm Boy: ever since then, I havent seen my dad, he used to carry me on his laps, teach me the Quran, stories of the salaf, islamic poems and have memorized several ahadeeth, but now, I dont still miss him Me: hmm why? Boy: bcos I see him in my dreams almost every night, and he still teaches me as he used to! They can take my dad away from me physicaly, but what they dont know is that he is still with me! Me: hmmmmm painful! Boy: its not, remember I frowned and I also smiled, I frowned bcos I wish to see him again but I smiled bcos perhaps Allah loves him Me: .... Boy: remember the hadith of the prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam where he said, if Allah loves a person, he afflicts the person with trials (bukhari). Me: naam Boy: include my dad in your dua(Then the boy continued with his ablution)!At this moment, I became speechless and motionless, its as if he left me in the cold! I stood there steering at him, imagining the silent pain the little 6yrs old boy could have in his tender heart! Indeed everyone has their silent tears, silent pains, silent tears, yet when I was approaching this boy, the first thing he did was to smile!Look at what the unbelievers have done to us? Imagine the number of muslims that are suffering in prison What a fitnah befalling the ummah! What a moment of reflection!!!The prophet said, there are two blessings which many people waste: health and leisure time (bukhari) Now that u and I are stil free and healthy, lets give dawah and propagate islam too before we end up in chains or get killed! Indeed, death is the destroyer of pleasures! We ask Allah for safety, Aameen
