HIGHLIGHTS OF THE TORAH TIMICHA FOUNDATION MEETING HELD ON THE 10TH OF ADAR 1,(FEB 9th 2014) The meeting commenced with a praise and worship session led by Mrs Titilayo Olusodo. Rab. Dawid Ogunjobi led the assembly in payer after which a short exhortation was given by Dr Adeolu Olusodo. The exhortation taken from Exodus 27:20,21 which centers on how our lives are symbolic of the olives brought before the priests of Yah which provided oil that kept the lamps burning in the temple. He pointed out that the pressing or crushing of the olive to bring forth oil for the lights symbolizes the ‘discomforts’ that we may have to endure in our walk with Yah in obedience to His Torah, while we may experience difficulties in our walk i.e. observing the torah in the lawless world we live in, these are necessary in perfecting us to be lights and examples that Yah desires us to be for the world. Furthermore he drew on the lessons learnt from our ancestors which we commemorate yearly in the feast of Purim as a constant reminder that such crushing is followed by exaltation as long as we remain steadfast in our faith in Elohim. Rab. Ogunjobi rounded up the exhortation pointing to the scriptural promises that we have that as long as we hold on to our unwavering faith in Elohim we are called to do exploits in his name.
