HIGHLIGHTS, SUNDAY SERVICE- PREACHING Message Title: BREAKING PRIDE 2 kings 5:1-4 Not long I found that when you in your comfort zone, you feel content many times that you look at yourself, comparing yourself with others and defining yourself by what you are having and this arouses pride. Many times we look at people by their appearances and where they stay but the life inside does not resemble what we constantly see. Pride has two children: hypocrisy and self-contented. With Self-contented, always when you move you feel you have arrived but there is also hypocrisy. When we read about a man called Naaman, we find that God was giving him victory outside but when he was alone there was no life, God would use him outside as a conqueror and as a winner but inside he was a “looser”. We have many winners outside but losers inside. Many people seem to be moving forward but because of too much hypocrisy, they are quoted by their outside meantime they are in distresses. Many work counting plenty of money but their salaries cannot be compared to the money they count as it is small. Many people wear clothes to be defined searching for people who would suit their praise, but now pride arouses because many admire people rather than admiring themselves not knowing that pride starts when you look at people and not yourself. Obadiah 1:3; “The pride of your heart has deceived you”. Pride deceives you so that you mustn’t live your own life as many of you copy how people conduct themselves. If you can come back and live your life there will be restoration because when you live your life, you break pride. Many of us the reason why our lives are not lifted it is because we are not living our own lives. Proverbs 3:5-6; “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths”. This means you will miss the boat and begin to live an absurd life, trust in the Lord for in the Lord that’s where your pride will be broken. Find yourself in all that you are facing because you are most powerful when you are yourself. Break this pride and bring restoration. When you are in the corner (facing tribulations), you pressured into breaking you pride. Any situation you are facing is there to break your pride that you may trust in the Lord which will break all things around you. What is it that is pressing you? It is breaking your pride. Don’t worry or cry about what you are facing for God will direct you. You and God are more than your enemies, if they are leaving you and you feel like there’s is no movement, know that God is breaking your pride and when the walls fall you will go to your miracle. Know that as you are meeting your prophet the pain that you are meeting is going away from you. Many people hide their weakness; it is pride. Many hold new purses but have no money and therefore they hide their poverty. Many houses that have been built are very beautiful on the outside but if you go inside you will realise that there is many things that are hidden where else outside there’s too much of pride. When you enter people’s houses you find many hiding their pride but very soon if you stay with them you will find that there are problems. There are many people when you look at them from a distance you will see a mountain that you can admire but when you are close you will find scorpions and all sorts of wild creatures there. You always hide what makes you weak while it is killing you. Many are HIV Positive hiding what Jesus can heal, I want to break this pride of boasting but knowing very well that Jesus is around today to raise you, He knows where you are going, break your pride and bring back your life and restoration, this is not the time of pretending. Say “I break my pride”. Forget people and live for God, look unto him and not unto people. Your pride is affecting you not to worship God. When I enter the church I forget that I am a Pastor and I worship God. God can’t use people who look unto people but those whom look unto Him, what are you hiding? You haven’t tried our God. I am here to tell you this is where you desires and healing is, I see you receiving. Many of you went to many rivers but thank God you are reading this today. Prophecy: This is your week of a miracle. It is your week of your miracle. If you believe shout hallelujah. Take your position, take your stand and go to your destiny. I see somebody receiving a new car, a house and no more struggle, there are people looking at you saying they shall see if you are serving the living God. You will keep quiet, they will testify for you. I feel like I am Elisha, I see somebody searching for a child many years and God is providing, I see a small church becoming a mega church, a penniless man becoming a miracle, tomorrow you will be laughing. All is coming your way, tomorrow is your day. This is the week that you will overtake your enemies. Break your pride. Where you are lacking God is ministering. What you have been praying for, God is answering, it is over. Take you position and see restoration. This is not a time of keeping silent when things go wrong, I see your God blessing you, and they will follow you to church. Break your pride. God will take you from where you are, to where you belong. I see your finances getting an uplifting, people favoured by God are being touched to bless you.
