HINDU TEMPLES ACROSS INDIA SHOULD BE NATIONALIZED =================================================== Ref.; Periodical : Ambedkar Mission Patrika, Patna , Feb. 2003 Tirupati Balaji temple makes Rs 400 crore turnover every year including Shirdi, and such other famous temples in India. Around 22 lakh – Crore are collected every year. At Tirupati Balaji temple round 45,000 people visit everyday, though they have glimpse for 2 second each person. This is just like a big giant company of public sector. Shirdi and Vaishnavdevi temple also being follow suit making profit like anything. Such temple’s general reserve (asset) is in multi billion. As such my suggestion to government is to take over such profit making temples, nationalize them, use the revenue for getting employment to unemployed youths and such other various welfare schemes, keep priests as salaried workers.
