HIRING !!!! Survey CAD Technician The Metalcare Group Inc., one of Alberta’s fastest growing companies is seeking experienced Survey CAD Technicians. Our CAD Technicians are responsible for the management and processing of survey data, performing quality checks and producing survey plans and related deliverables in such a fashion as to meet or exceed client satisfaction and corporate standards. Reporting to the Survey Department manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to •Perform QC checks on field returns •Draft accurate survey plans from field survey notes/data collector files collected using standard conventional (total station/level) and GNSS survey practices •Prepare digital files for the stakeout of structural and civil earthworks •Archive and maintain field and office records •Maintain familiarity with current CAD software releases, developments, etc. Requirements: •Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training in survey/CAD. •CAD experience in lieu of education will be considered. •3 to 5 years of AutoCAD (preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D) and/or MicroSurvey •Strong knowledge of surveying, coordinate systems and projections •Field experience would considered a strong asset Related Attributes: •The ability to work in a fast paced environment with strict deadlines •Team oriented but capable of working well on individual basis •Ability to learn new software and be open to new ideas •Detail oriented, responsible, able to set and focus on priorities •Strong time management skills •Lifelong student. •Willingness to work in the field on occasion would be favourably considered Please apply to hr@metalcare or on our website at matalcare
