#HIRING: #UFC - Editor - Ultimate Fighting Championship - Las Vegas, NV Position Summary: This position is responsible for editing short-form and long-form content for broadcast and digital platforms. Essential Functions: 1. Edits long-form content including documentaries, compilation shows, and specialty programming. 2. Edits a variety of short-form content including promotional spots, features, UFC programming, sponsorship elements and sizzle reels. 3. Works independently on some projects and collaborates with teammates on other projects. 4. Assists in the development of new programming concepts. 5. Manages daily work activities of Digital Distribution Coordinators. 6. Other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Minimum of 5 years editing experience on both short-form and long-form projects for broadcast television. 2. Must have strong grasp of the latest editing techniques and visual trends. 3. Must be proficient in HD workflow, Final Cut Studio suite, After Effects, Photoshop, and have solid technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Candidates with AVID only experience will also be considered. 4. Demonstrated proficiency in motion graphics is preferred. 5. Experience with tapeless workflow preferred. 6. Experience working for an agency, post-production company or broadcast creative team is a plus. 7. Experience with 3D modeling and animation a plus. 8. College degree preferred, High School diploma or equivalent GED required. 9. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. 10. Strong organizational skills an attention to detail is necessary. 11. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 12. Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines. 13. Must maintain discretion and confidential information. 14. Must have working knowledge of basic administrative office computer program, on Mac and Windows PC workstations. 15. Experience in a sports environment preferred. Knowledge of MMA is a plus. Work hours will typically take place Monday through Friday, but candidate will be required to work remotely or from office during live events which typically take place Saturday evenings.
