#HIRING: #UFC - Social Media Manager - Ultimate Fighting Championship - Las Vegas, NV This role will be responsible for building brand affinity, fan engagement, customer service, fighter and VIP social media strategy. Must be a forward thinker, creative, proactive planner, have character and personality behind the brand of UFC social media. Must be able to connect brand awareness and promotion of various UFC assets via social media including live event tune-in, ticket sales, merchandise, community efforts and other UFC brands/products. Essential Functions: • Actively engage with social communities on a daily basis and build relationships with fans, influencers and community leaders to advance the brand. Social channels include but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, Google+, Pintrest, Tumblr) • Monitor at-replies and responding to fans, Scan fighter lists for content, appearances, milestones (babies, weddings, etc) red flags. • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency of messaging on social media are in line with all other forms of communication including but not limited to Public Relations and New Media Web Editor content. • Proactively plan social media content that supports multiple initiatives within the organization and/or branches under the UFC umbrella. • Arrange and when necessary, produce and/or host online chats. • Shoot video or still photos as needed. • Propose original, timely and innovative stories. • Track performance of Social Media marketing programs on an on-going basis to establish best practices, while comparing against internal and industry benchmarks. • Research, plan and propose and tactics for social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, YouTube, Instagram, Tumblr and other emerging platforms). • Plan, publish and share monthly social media editorial calendar. • Work directly with sponsors, partners, venue and cable/satellite social media teams providing editorial calendar and assets to promote live events or ticket on sale campaigns through each of their respect social media outlets. • Work with fighters on social media strategy promoting ticket sales or tune-in messaging for their respective fights or any other major UFC initiatives. • Work with VIPs on social media co-promotion strategy. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • Minimum 3-5+ years proven online marketing, PR and social media, experience preferably for a sports and entertainment property • Strong User Interface/ User Experience (IU/UX) understanding for multiple platforms including mobile, tablet and desktop • Thorough knowledge of sports, mainly MMA • Immersed in social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, YouTube, Instagram, Vine, Pinterest, Tumblr and others) • Ability to be an internal advocate for social media • Excellent writing skills • Deadline-oriented; experience at getting projects done quickly, with high standards of quality • Intense passion for helping us grow social media aspects of the business • Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays as required • Photoshop or video editing skills are a plus but not necessary. • Some travel may be required.
