HK Refugees Advice Centre Human Rights Arts Prize The following is a special message from fellow McGillian Stephanie Jones who works at the Centre. The Hong Kong Refugee Advice Centre (HKRAC) has created an opportunity for social justice and art to come together through the inauguration of a Hong Kong Human Rights Arts Prize. Deadline for entries is October 7, 2013. The Centre is calling for entries from amateur and emerging professional Hong Kong based artists to create a 2D piece of art for a special one night only exhibition at the Sundaram Tagore Gallery on November 5. Prizes are HK$30,000 for best professional artist (under 35) and HK$5,000 for best amateur (no age limit), along with a chance for unique publicity and the chance to raise awareness around human rights and refugee issues in Hong Kong. If you are interested in entering, or know of anyone who may be interested themselves, please feel free to forward this message and the poster, which can be downloaded here, on to them. For details on entering the competition, email [email protected] or call Claire on 31097359.
