Ms. Lyu is devoted to preserving this performing art, which has a long history in China. She has won numerous prizes in Kunqu Opera and Pintan contests at city and province levels respectively. She is well known for her presenting this performing art in a refreshed way that youngsters are also attracted to watching her amazing performance. She has been invited to perform Kunqu Opera and Pintan in Peking University and Tsinghua University, also discussing this art with the students in these two leading universities of the country. An article was posted on 7 June 2013 in Xinhua Net of Xinhua News Agency, China, commenting that “Let the world see Kunqu, see Suzhou, and see Lyu Chengfang”. 呂成芳簡介 江蘇蘇州人，蘇州昆曲傳習所“昆曲遺產搶救保護促進會”志願者。擅長昆曲、評彈、越劇等戲曲表演，曾多次在省、市昆曲、戲曲大賽中獲獎。在中國歷史文化名街平江路表演、講演、傳播昆曲。首創“邊講邊演”的形式，將“空穀幽蘭”之音的昆曲與“小橋流水”意境的評彈，以淺顯、風趣的語言進行講述與傳播。為每一位觀眾帶來了全新的昆曲演看、視聽及互動體驗，受到遊人尤其是青年觀眾的深度喜愛，2011年5月，榮幸的以蘇州市昆曲代表的身份受邀參加了紀念昆曲申遺十周年昆曲保護與發展國際研討會，與來自海內外的昆研專家一起商討昆曲未來發展的方向。呂成芳尤以講演昆曲《牡丹亭》見長，先後被邀請去了北京大學、北京師範大學、北京清華大學為學生講演昆曲、評彈，被觀眾稱之為“湯顯祖的前世情人”。 2012年7月25日臺灣東森超視、福建海峽衛視同時首播了她的專題片《湯顯祖的前世情人》。2013年6月7日中國新華社新華網發佈《呂成芳：一個人的昆曲舞臺》，讓世界看到昆曲，看到蘇州，看到呂成芳。 “欣賞者是水，表演者是船，有了水，船才能航行，沒有了水，船隻能是靠在岸邊的模型。昆曲已在搶救階段，培養昆曲愛好者、欣賞者是昆曲傳承的關鍵。”呂成芳如是說。
