HOLY BIBLE: JESUS DIED FOR 3 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS? Died from Friday Night (1 Night/12 Hrs only), Saturday Day (1 Day/12 Hrs only) and Saturday Night (1 Night/12 Hrs only), two Nights and one Day (36 Hrs) only. If he was crucified on a good Friday, and buried before sunset as Jewish tradition require; and if his tomb was empty on a Sunday morning, then its basically 2 nights and one day. Please do not count the Day (or Night) & Hour same length amount of time. Mary Magdalenes role in Christs resurrection reached its ultimate expression in her personal rendezvous with Jesus at the tomb (John 20:10-18). However, it seems that the meeting revealed more than the emotional, sentimental message of the hymn In The Garden. The Bible tells us that Christ resided 3 days and 3 nights in his sepulcher, that is three periods of day light and three periods of night time. According to my maths that equates to 72 hours ... How does anyone derive a 72 hour period from good Friday afternoon till early hours Easter Sunday morning, which makes the bible wrong or he wasnt crucified on Friday and rose on Sunday morning. Dr George Einstein, the most famous Mathematician does not help you that. That they said (in boast), We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah, but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not.... no indeed; God raised him up to Him; God is Almighty, All-Wise. - (Quran 4:157)
