HOME TRAINING We all know this is the season when people over indulge in food and drink. What tends to happen is, we are eating more and more calories but get almost lazy and ease off the pedal. So we have extra calories, and less activity.... its not hard to figure out what the outcome is going to be. So, lets take control of our situation, and make use of the tools we have around us. This means putting aside 20-30 minutes of your day over the next few weeks, but it is going to keep your metabolism slightly elevated and assist in digesting the extra food you are eating. By preforming this small workout i will outline later in this post you will help you body to limit to damage caused by taking time off exercise and over eating, thus meaning less work to do come new year!! The home workout involves your stairs... Simple yeah?! 1 round = -10 walks up and down stairs (up and down is one walk) -Followed immediately by a body weight resistance move for 30-60 seconds depending on how much time you have available! -once the round is completed take 30-60 seconds rest. - each set consists of 4 rounds! So perform the above outlay 4 times Set 1 = 4 rounds of: -10 walks up and down stairs (up and down is one walk) -Basic body weight squats (30 or 60 sec round) -30-60 second rest set 2 = 4 rounds of: -10 walks up and down stairs (up and down is one walk) -Basic push ups with hands of bottom step (30 or 60 sec round) -30-60 second rest set 3 = 4 rounds of: -10 walks up and down stairs (up and down is one walk) -Low plank (30 or 60 sec round) -30-60 second rest set 4 = 4 rounds of: -10 walks up and down stairs (up and down is one walk) -Single leg lunge with one foot behind on bottom step (30 or 60 sec round EACH LEG) -30-60 second rest So there you have it, play with this formula and take out the resistance moves to replace them with your own. If you really want a challenge change resistance moves to all cardio moves i.e burpees or tuck jumps. Any questions can either be asked on here or email me at Dangrahampt@gmail
