HON.TIMI BRISIBE PROMISES AN ADVANCEMENT OF TOURISM IN BURUTU L.G.A. As an unconventional and freelance writer and commentator,I tend to always do a little background check on personalities whose virtues I extol or disapprove of.I did same on Hon.Timi Brisibe and realized to my bewilderment that he is a thespian,nay theatre artist.I was stunned by this revelation firstly because I had developed a deep affinity with the natural environment of the Burutu L.G.A and its tourism potentials as I grew up and the fact that some job has to be done in harnessing these lofty potentials and secondly because Hon.Timi Brisibe who is an authority in tourism as a subject matter(tourism is a sub-branch of theatre arts) vies to represent the good people of Burutu LG in the Federal House of Representatives.Against this backdrop,it could be aptly implied that God has raised someone in the person of Hon.Timi Brisibe who has the technical know-how to put to rest our tourism challenges as an aspect of our collective political,social and economic aspirations. The potentials of tourism as we all know is of monumental proportions and cannot be overemphasized.The tourism sector/business has remained a money spinner and a job provider for the populace.Burutu L.G.A is undoubtedly a tourist delight anyday because of the natural endowments therein ranging from its pristine beaches,the white peoples graveyard in Forcados,cultural festivals like Awouzi-Owu festival of Obotebe, Okeleke festival of Torugbene,Olorogun festival of Ayakoromor and a host of others that can be upgraded to international standard.Hoteliers,food vendors,wine sellers,musicians and the likes will always have a field day around viable tourist attractions.Hence,huge revenues will be generated like in major local government areas in Lagos for instance to the admiration and delight of the locals and even visitors who will want to take a leaf from the success story. I was privileged to listen to the Honourable talk in an intellectual chit-chat and was enthralled by his eloquence and the articulate manner in which he analysed the tourism potentials of our dear Burutu L.G and his quest to push for a bill or law to be enacted to back the advancement of tourism in the constituency. I concluded by quoting the maxim,He Who The Cap Fits,Let Him Wear It as time and space will not permit me to continually pontificate on the virtues of an astute,articulate,sagacious and selfless leader.Hon.Timi Brisibe is the sure bet for the forthcoming polls.
