HONG KONG PROTESTS: Minor confrontations were reported by local media activists and news sources at the Causeway Bay protest in Hong Kong on October 2. The independent media collective SocRec reported that eggs and rice were thrown by people objecting to the protests, while a knife was found on the scene by police. Some reports indicated that it, too, had been thrown. The protesting students soon took the the streets to clean up the eggs and rice, as shown here.
