HONG KONG: The founders of the Occupy Central pro-democracy movement, Benny Tai Yiu-ting, Chan Kin-man and Chu Yiu-ming, penned an open letter to the people of Hong Kong, calling on students to end their occupation, retreat from the streets and put down deep roots in the community and transform the movement to extend the spirit of the Umbrella Movement. The trio have said they will surrender themselves to the police on Wednesday, December 3 to demonstrate the spirit of this kind of commitment and responsibility to civil disobedience.
