Chardonnay is a well-known singer on St. Maarten; from his successful participation in Singing Competitions and Performances at Concerts and numerous events At the age of five Chardonnay did his debut. He participated at a mini playback contest and imitated Michael Jackson. He sang the song ABC. As he started to attend the M.A.C School (the Methodist Agogic Centre) he was introduced to many modern Gospel Songs and so his love for Gospel Songs took wings. The invitations started to flow, as many schools and organizations started to asked him to perform at their functions. That was when he won the A.S.C.D Song festival in year 2005. Through much successful participation in Song Festivals, Concerts and Gospel Festivals he has gained much popularity on Sint Maarten, with interviews on The Oral Gibbes Show, The Beverly Hyman talk show, and was also interviewed by one of the local newspapers, The Kids Daily Herald. He was a member of the Qualichi Voices choir under the leadership of Ms. Anastacia Larmonie. He learned to sing all styles of music, Latin/Jazz/Caribbean/Classical /Pop /Gospel and contemporary music.
