HOW I CAME TO CHRIST – AND HOW LORD LEADS US. One night in the - TopicsExpress

HOW I CAME TO CHRIST – AND HOW LORD LEADS US. One night in the year of 1989, I had a terrible dream, I was in front of the final judgment and I was condemned. I was very scared and from that day I started searching for the real peace. On 26 September 1989, I attended Christian camping, which was for one week (26 September – 31 September) organized by the Servants of God (local evangelistic team). On 28 September 1989, I accepted what the Bible told me that, the love of Jesus Christ and what he had done for my salvation. I committed myself through Romans 6: 1-11; 2 Corinthians 5:14-17; Galatians 2:16-20; 3: 13; 5:14-16; Colossians 2:14; 3:3; Hebrews 13:11-13 and other verses of scripture. My old life was crucified with Christ and buried along with him. Then the resurrected life of Christ lives in me, I was born again and received a new life in Jesus Christ by faith. Two weeks later, I was suffering from fever and I was deathly ill. One evening, as I slept on the bed, three angels came and asked me whether I want to go with them. Before I answered, I thought to myself, “If I go now, I will never have a chance to share with anyone else what the Lord Jesus has done for me.” Those three angels knew all that was inside my heart and what I was thinking. So they agreed to leave me and then vanished, and I was recovered after they had left me behind. So, I decided to follow Jesus and left my job, and joined the Servants of God, one of the evangelistic team of Mizoram (India) as a voluntary worker, all were volunteered (without support) worker to serve the Lord. During I spent my time to learn and serve the Lord in that team, I learned many things about the mysteries of the Holy Scriptures and also God allowed me to witness many miracles through faith. I learned that everything is possible with God. In 1990, I was elected as a leader in a Christian Youth group in our Church. In addition, within that same year, I was elected as General Secretary for the Servants of God team. In those days, God had been leading us to put a full faith in Him. Also he used me to heal some sick people. One thing I understood very clearly was that God wanted me to know Him very well “who He is.” We led many people into Christ. After two years later, in the year of 1992, one night I had a dream again. I saw the lamb’s blood flowing towards one of the tribes whom I never saw before. Those people who touched and drank that blood became clean and fresh. But, most of them did not understand how that blood was so precious for them. I tried to speak out, but I couldn’t. When I wake up, I prayed to God and asked Him to let me understand my dream. Two days later, I received a letter from a missionary who was working in China. In that letter, he mentioned about the Tibetan people and asked me to pray for them. That letter had a very deep meaning for me, because of my dream. Since my dream, I was preparing myself to be a missionary. By the grace of God, I finished Bachelor of Theology correspondence course successfully in that year and I had joined missionary training at Mission for Christ Missionary Training Center in November 1992 for one month again. While I was there, God spoke to me once again. One day, when we were in the class, and hearing the message from the Preacher, I felt that it was the same message which we also used to teach others, there is nothing new for me, just wasting the time, and I thought to myself, “I can read the Bible at home.” I decided to go home without telling anyone, packed up my belongings, and waited for the chance. When everyone went down to the dining hall, I reached for my bag and grabbed to leave. Suddenly, I heard a clear voice, which could never have come from a human being, “You are called to follow Jesus. You should not go home.” I was shocked by that voice and fell down on the bed. I tried to hear more, but there was no more. Perspiration covered my whole body. I checked myself to see if I was still awake, but that voice was still in my heart and repeated the message repeatedly. I went to the bathroom to wash my face and that voice was still in my heart and still repeated the same message. Then I was afraid to go home and went to join the dinner. The next morning, when the speaker came and sat with me, I asked, “Could it be the God voice?” after I told him that what I was trying to do and what I had heard. He said to me softly, “Yes, that must be the God’s voice, you must not go home.” After the training was over, I married (Sangte) who was also trained a missionary during the same time. And we went to Bhutan on 1993, to look the opportunity for the ministry, but visa for a long time was difficult. And, we returned to Mizoram after two weeks. We went to Nepal in 1993, we found that Indian citizens don’t need visa in Nepal. We went back to Mizoram and talk to the some Church denomination, but at the time, most of the Church doesn’t have a vision to send out missionary to Tibet or even Nepal. Some Churches suggested us to serve near Mizoram and we insisted. As I was so cleared I had a very strong called – we had committed our future to the Lord, “God is the one who called us, he will provide us our needs (Ps.37:5)”. In July 1994, we proceed to Kathmandu, where we do not need a visa. Looking a place where we could live and learn the Tibetan language. Started renting a house, due to the lack of financial, we went back to Mizoram on May 1995, we sold all our property, (Matt. 6:20-21, 16:24-27)) and returned to Nepal. As Paul said,“For me to live is Christ…” We studied the Tibetan language at Tribhuvan University at Kathmandu for two years since 1996-1998. Unfortunately, in November 1996, we went to Tibet with my wife and one friend, to pray inside Tibet. But when we reached there, it was very difficult for me to go back without sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. So I gave out Bible tracts (one full bag), many people are happy to receive and some were curious to know what it is inside and suddenly my bag became empty. After a few minutes later, Chinese police came and asked some few questions and took me to their custody and I was charged for breaking the Law of Chinese Government (As it is illegal to spread out the religious things inside China). After three days and two night they took me to Shigatse (Second capital of Tibet) and I spent fifteen day in Communist Jail, Shigatse, so I paid the price for sharing the Gospel. (After a few weeks later, some Christian friends who served the Lord at the Border did the follow-up, and the fellowship was established soon at the place where I shared the gospel at Khasa town. In 1998, as we both husband and wife were invited to visit we had wonderful a fellowship with those new small group) As I found that there is no chance to preach the Gospel inside Tibet and as it is so difficult to reach out there, God let us see another way – we went to that place in October 1997, the name of that place is called “Mustang” – the lost Tibetan Kingdom. Politically Nepal, but culturally it is Tibetan and the place where we can find the pure Tibetan culture, tradition and language today. When we went there we have seen many orphans, extremely poor, who do not have the people to look after them and no one to teach them good thing. We prayed to the Lord to open the orphanage for those children. We believed that someday they would become the real disciples of Jesus to breakdown the strongholds of Satan with the authority of Jesus and to show love to their people like what we are doing for them today. Even though we had a big dream for the Children Home, without sponsors or financial support, the dream were still in vein. But God is amazing, He is faithful in His promised. In 1998, we met American couple Steve Evoy and his wife Jenny (Rev.Steve Evoy is the Asia Area Director of Free Method Mission) who shared the same vision about the children ministry, and God put everything together on His own time. The Scriptures says Rejoice in the Lord…… Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanks giving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus……(Ph.4:4-7) God knows our desire and He never deny His Word, He opened the opportunity to start the new Chapter in our life, that is “Children Home” for ten Tibetan children. We moved to Pokhara in March 1999 and all the ten children were arrived on April, eight are from Mustang and two are from Dolpo, all are Tibetan background. In the beginning, until three/four months finished, it was so difficult, they have to learn all things, as they came out to the new world from the dark remote and backward. God is with us and the children are grown up not only physically but even in Spirit. After a year, when their family/relative came and saw them, they said that, “their children reached heaven”. Through the children, the relation bridge was build up with the children relatives and village’s people, God extend His kingdom at Mustang and Dolpa, where the people never heard name of Lord Jesus, the Savior. Now, eleven people were already baptized from that place. POKHARA MINISTRY Since we moved to Pokhara in 1999, God is working in the neighboring people, he healed the sick through prayers, the lame can walk, the dumb can speak etc. we started the fellowship in our home, and as God is working in so many ways, soon our house became too small for the fellowship. We started pray for the Church building, and since April 2002 we rent empty land for ten years in 2002, started construct small house for Church meeting and as we all working so hard, we started having a meeting at the new building. The Church is called “Ranipauwa Church” (Ranipauwa is the area’s name). Since we affiliated, with FMC, now it became, Free Methodist Church, Pokhara. God opened the door to give Discipleship training for the new believers. As all our Church members are new converted from Buddhist and Hindu religions, they do not have any Bible background. We felt that it is necessary to give Discipleship training at least one month, four times in a year. After they go home from the training, God established the branches (daughter Church) in three villages. One is 87miles from Pokhara, and another is 78 miles from Pokhara and another one is 124 miles from Pokhara. Though it is not easy without transportation, we have to visit them twice in a month to give teaching and the Lord Supper once in a month. Since the year of 1999, 247 converted people were baptized, inside Nepal. We sent out the trained disciples to preach their own people, we took them at the fellowship and sent them to teach others too. We have house fellowship every weeks, in a different places. On Monday at Ranipauwa (Church building area), on Tuesday – Sirjana Chowk, on Wednesday – Khudi khola, on Thursday – Raja ko Chautara, on Friday – Kau dhara and Rato Mato. In Nepal Saturday only is government holiday since many years ago – so all the Christian used to have congregation/meeting on Saturday. Due to the situation of terrorist movement in Nepal country, it is difficult to reach out the Himalayas remote un-reached people like before. But, God opened the opportunity to preach through radio since 2004, though we need to buy the program 45 minutes is US $ 40. We are praying to buy the People listen the message program continuously preached through the radio program. By the God’s grace, the Free Methodist Church in Nepal are growing in the different places, especially in the village. Since Church is increased in many different places, we need better strategies, better structure to make the churches more healthy in spirit. So, God opened the opportunity to be affiliated with Free Methodist Church in 2008. God is moving in the different ways 1999....................................House fellowship 2002...................................1 Church 2003...................................3 Churches 2004...................................9 Churches 2005.................................12 Churches 2006 .............................. .16 Churches 2007 ............................. 24 Churches 2008 ................................36 Churches 2009.................................42 Churches 2010.................................60 Churches 2011.................................72 Churches 2012.................................84 Churches 2013................................ 93 Churches As God showed us his glory in many ways and blessed the ministry, we need to raised up many many more humble, servant’s heart for the leaders/Pastors/Elders, for now and the future, I also need to equip myself more, God allowed me to equip myself to finish Doctor of Ministry under International Institute of Church management (IICM) in Correspondence. God is always faithful – he deserves to serve, let serve him until we die. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ For more information: Our Contact address: Rev.
