Bushfire ADVICE for the southern part of Roleystone in the City of Armadale Thursday 8 January 2015 - 4:30 AM A bushfire ADVICE has been issued for people in the southern part of Roleystone in the City of Armadale There is no threat to lives or homes but there is a lot of smoke in the area Although there is no immediate danger you need to be aware and keep up to date in case the situation changes. The fire is burning in bushland near Heritage Road and Sophia Grove in Roleystone. BUSHFIRE BEHAVIOUR: It is out of control and unpredictable. This means homes in Heritage Drive, Armenti Drive, Protector Grove, Forestedge Retreat and Sophia Grove in Roleystone may be threatened by the fire. WHAT TO DO: Stay alert and monitor your surroundings. Watch for signs of a bushfire, especially smoke and flames. Close all doors and windows, and turn off evaporative air conditioners but keep water running through the system if possible. Read through your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan decide what you will do if the situation gets worse. ROAD CLOSURES: No roads are closed Avoid the area and be aware of fire and other emergency services personnel working on site. EXTRA INFORMATION: The incident was reported at 2.18am today. The cause of the fire is a reignition of a previous fire in the area. DFES is managing the fire.
