"HOW TO USE THE MIND CORRECTLY" - Narration by Shin Ki Bo Sal Nim (Montserrat Hom), student of Supreme Matriarch Ji Kwang Dae Poep Sa Nim, and Dharma Teacher. Member of the Barcelona Yun Hwa Dharma Sah. 7711 July 20, 2013 Lotus Buddhist Monastery A doubtful mind is an uncomfortable mind, which can produce all kinds of illusions and delusions and easily lead to self-doubt, thus generating even more suffering. However, with great courage and the desire to understand the feelings of others, the obvious desire is to speak out honestly. Nevertheless, not having such an opportunity can cause further discomfort. When in such a situation, it is best not to lose oneself. Instead, the mind should be changed so as to trust others; and by going in that direction, it will remain at ease and make all the illusions and delusions disappear. The mind, in this case, is just like the sky that was obscured by clouds but grows clear as they disappear. On the other hand, the self that has clarity, sees and knows all. Furthermore, it also understands the wrongdoings of others. When the opposite is the case, and there are doubts about others, the mind and body become uncomfortable. Especially, distrust and suspicion cause the body to become very tense as the blood pressure increases and the nerves become highly sensitive. As a result, all kinds of physical conditions and reactions appear in the body. That is why it is important to first save oneself from doubting and mistrust by believing in others because, according to the Law of the Universe, to cheat another is actually to cheat none other than oneself. In addition, truly trusting and believing in others make it very difficult to be cheated, if at all, even though some people might want to do so. This is because the Law of Nature states that cheating others brings negative karma back to the person that perpetuates the wrongdoing. This is the reason why Buddha teaches us to forgive and forget the ignorance of sentient beings and attain great wisdom to be able to help others to emerge from their darkness. Remember, Buddha always knows, protects and takes care of us. Practitioners should, therefore, practice not to harbour any impurities in the mind but always strive to act as Buddhas and bodhisattvas. With such mindfulness, the way is then paved for them to become Buddhas and bodhisattvas in the future. --------- youtu.be/OoOztYDD630 Narration by Shin Ki Bo Sal Nim (Montserrat Hom), student of Supreme Matriarch Ji Kwang Dae Poep Sa Nim, and Dharma Teacher.
