HUERCAL OVERA TOWN HALL PRESS RELEASE 3 (Spanish & English) 12-11-13 Huércal-Overa acoge la final del circuito provincial de Maratón BTT • La prueba organizada por la Diputación de Almería y el Ayuntamiento forma parte de la Titan Series • El circuito consta de 30 km al que los corredores deberán finalizar dos vueltas Martes 12 de noviembre de 2013. El próximo domingo 1 de Diciembre, Huércal-Overa acogerá la prueba final del circuito provincial de Almería Maratón BTT (bicicleta montaña). El circuito consta de cinco pruebas, tras celebrarse en Lubrín, Felix, Fiñana y Lucar finaliza en la localidad huercalense dónde se dirimirá los vencedores finales del circuito. El circuito de Huércal-Overa consta de 30 km al que los corredores deberán finalizar 2 vueltas al mismo (60 km). La prueba tendrá una salida neutralizada desde la Plaza de la Constitución a las 10:00 horas y la salida oficial desde el cuartel de la Guardia Civil. De allí los ciclistas afrontarán la primera subida a la “Sierrecica” para después dirigirse dirección Almajalejo por la antigua vía del tren, transcurrirán por la rambla dirección Overa hasta la segunda subida montañosa: “El Pirulí”. Tras el ascenso descenderán a la rambla por debajo del Castillo de Huércal-Overa hacia la subida al cementerio municipal. Para llegar al punto de control e iniciar la 2ª vuelta por detrás del tanatorio. La finalización de la prueba cronometrada tendrá lugar en el punto de control situado a la altura del cuartel de la Guardia Civil, y la meta final estará situada en la Plaza de la Constitución. La entrega de trofeos se realizará en la carpa municipal que estará situada en el Pabellón de Deportes. La prueba organizada por la Diputación de Almería y el Ayuntamiento de Huércal-Overa, está regulada por la Federación Andaluza de Ciclismo y forma parte de la Titan Series. Titan Desert premiará a los ganadores de la challenge, de los puntos acumulados después de realizar todas las pruebas del calendario Titan Series (una en cada provincia de Andalucía), con dos inscripciones gratuitas para la Titan Desert 2014 a los vencedores en categoría masculina y femenina. Y otra inscripción gratuita por sorteo entre todos los participantes de la Challenger. Esta es una prueba más que se suma “al calendario deportivo de Huércal.-Overa que tendrá durante las próximas semanas diversas actividades de distintas modalidades deportivas. En esta ocasión se trata de una prueba organizada junto a Diputación que viene a dar muestra de que nuestro municipio está siendo elegido como lugar en el que llevar a cabo competiciones, siendo muestra de que este es referente en este ámbito. Par ello estamos y continuamos trabajando para que el nombre del deporte vaya ligado al de Huércal-Overa, a la vez que para ofrecer a nuestros vecinos diversas posibilidades de la práctica deportiva”, matizó el concejal de Deportes, Alonso Mena.
