Haagen-Dazs in Japan is releasing vegetable flavored ice cream. The first flavors to come out are Tomato Cherry and Carrot Orange. 1) Last I heard, tomatoes are not a veggie, but a fruit. So, calling that a veggie flavored ice cream is incorrect. 2) From what I understand, neither one of these contain veggies....thus, why theyre calling them veggie flavored. A fact that is downplayed on the packaging. 3) I eat plenty of salad, and there are lots of veggies on my dinner plate. I honestly dont need veggies in my ice cream. I find no need for Haagen-Dazs to health-i-fy my dessert! If Im going to eat ice cream, I want a delicious, authentic hot fudge sundae without any trace of a vegetable, or a vegetable flavor for that matter.
