[Hackintosh question] So some time in the next year or so, Id like to get a Mac to play games on and handle some basic home server duties. I think I would like this connected to the TV. Apple doesnt really offer anything mid-ranged- Im a fan of the MacMini on paper but there are no graphics option on the new models (seems like a massive oversight to me). The Pro is overkill, and with an MBP or iMac Im paying for a screen I dont want. Now, Im likely to end up getting an older MBP and running closed to the TV (sub-optimal) or just getting an iMac and forgetting the TV. That all said... Do I go for a Hackintosh? I can save a few bucks and build it to suit my needs. I worry a little about quirkiness and maintenance, but there are great resources out there which make it sound pretty low-hassle (tonymacx86/building-customac-buyers-guide-december-2014.html). Anyone have any experience with this?
