Had a GERD attack today, a severe one, in which my stomach refluxed acid and when the acid hit my esophagus, my esophagus spasmed hard, like a charlie horse. An attack like this mimics a heart attack, as far as symptoms go, so closely that most people go to the emergency room, because they think they ARE having a heart attack.
