Had a conversation today amongst some conscious men in the babershop today. They brought up something I felt worthy to bring to your attention. Preface: The media doesnt create the crimes nor the victims accusations.... However the news/blog media does select its topics to cover. Lets for a moment separate the accusations and the victims (respectively) Bill Cosby, Ray Rice and even ISIS have been made public targets for us perceive as evil people. On a deeper subconscious level, its a message to many communities and cultures who dont interact with people of color, that we are dangerous as a group. (harmful to those in rural communities that have never met a person of color) On an even deeper subconscious level the media is enforcing us all to think one dimensionally . Meaning perceive the totality of a person to be who they are in an act. Good or Bad, they are what we know of them to be by what we immediately see. Which is an extremely flawed way of thinking. Think critically, think independently and be open enough for your perception to evolve. #begoodorBeGreat
