Had a cool experience crossing the boarder between Sudan and Egypt by catching a ferry up The Nile. Me and my Tanzanian friend were the only whities onboard, we slept 3rd class (on the roof) and met people doing the long transit from Khartoum to Cairo for business and some were seeking asylum after a rough couple of years which was interesting to hear their stories. Then I drove up to visit ancient sites in Luxor, went hot air ballooning over the Valley of the Kings, and crossed another desert to reach the Red Sea. Egypt is pretty amazing
