Had a discussion years ago in my environmental toxicology class about animal testing. I find it rather disturbing that we subject these poor little creatures to such things and every time I read about the LD50 of a chemical it makes me sad. Well today Im sitting here reading up on corrosive materials and the changes being made to the HAZCOM standard; by the Globally Harmonized System a substance is considered corrosive if after FOUR hours of exposure it causes irreversible damage to the skin of the test subject. I think its time we let pedophiles be these test subjects and leave the poor animals alone!
