Had a foxy visitor this afternoon. Im assuming its the same one who came by at nightfall a few weeks ago, still young but mature. Isnt he handsome? Look at that bushy tail! I first noticed his head popping up over the rocks in back and went closer to look. He came down into the yard, up to the statue of Pan, and then down the garden path until he was just a few feet from the house. When I tiptoed back with the camera, he was still there, had made himself comfortable in one of Sobranies favorite spots. Sobranie, luckily, was asleep inside at the time. I inched the slider open until I could step outside, slid it closed again because I could feel Sobranie just behind me. The fox watched me calmly and let me take several photos. It wasnt until I spoke to him that he decided to leave, not in a hurry, and paused on his way out for a couple more photos. I told Sobranie foxes eat kitty-cats. He watched through the door for a while but didnt ask to go out...
