Had a great Day of Service at the East End Cemetery with John Shuck. There has been a great deal of progress. When I was there last August virtually nothing had been cleared. It was a tangle of vines, bushes, trees and trash. Now the jungle has been pushed back revealing headstones and family plots. Its hard to imagine this place is the home of some of Richmonds best. You owe it to yourself to go visit it. I repeat, it is very likely you have never seen anything like it. It is like discovering the remains of a vanished civilization. Just beyond the cleared areas lie many more tombstones and memories of forgotten generations.
