Had a magic day at Universal Studios today, saw the street parade with all the amazing floats and costumes and went on some hectic rides, a few tame rides too which Daniel and Nicole would have loved. The Shrek 4D show was awesome, as was the Battlestar Galactica and the Steven Spielberg special effects show ! Water world was so well done, the stunts and special effects made you feel like you were watching a real movie ! We then took the Mono Rail to Sentosa Station and discovered another beautiful view of Singapore near the docks, I wish our docks could look so beautiful and clean ! We ended the evening off at the famous Long Bar at Raffles Hotel. This is where you enjoy your drinks and cocktails whilst eating peanuts and throwing the shells on the floor, not sure where this tradition comes from ! The band started playing so we joined a bunch of locals and some Swedes on the dance floor ! We were warned that the Singapore Slings were going to be expensive so we thought we would play it safe and just order coke, well that did not work either as two cokes cost us just on R180, I nearly fell off the barstool !
