Had a mr Wendell moment today whilst in Manchester mcdonalds. There was an old homeless man sitting keeping warm in the doorway.so when I bought my breakfast I asked the staff to also take for a cup of tea and to give it him. I went upstairs to eat and he followed me up to say thanks. turns out he had a really interesting life, he had been rich and lived all over America and before his breakdown was married and happy. I had to leave and told him how upset I was with the way he had been treated by the system. I gave him some money to buy a few meals and he invited me to his soup kitchen for tonights chicken curry lol. What really got me was his happiness regardless of his situation. I learned a valuable life lesson today, in that no matter what your standing in society there is always someone worse off.(his words not mine) Be grateful for all that you have and be kind to the homeless as some of these people really are lifes great teachers and profits.
