Had a pleasant surprise at work the other day. It was 5 minutes before I was to leave for lunch and I was at my post. It was to be another ho-hum lunch. The peanut butter and jelly sandwich, maybe some carrot sticks or a banana, etc. Really exciting stuff for sure. Then a girl came to my desk. She had a box lunch that was delivered to her at a meeting. She had no time to eat it and didnt want to see it go to waste. She asked if I wanted it. Im reluctant to accept such stuff but.... OK Im not reluctant! Who am I trying to kid? Anyway, I said I could surely help and I took it and thanked her. It was ribs from Sticky Lips BBQ! Best lunch Ive had in years. If shed have come by 5 minutes later Id have not been there and Id have missed the high point of my day. Boy, was it good! I dont know how to thank her for her generosity. Maybe Ill add her to my Christmas list this year.
