Had a weird complaint about T-Mobile. A woman added her 91-year-old mother to her account in 2012 and got her mom a flip phone in exchange for signing a two-year contract. The next year, her mother passes away. She calls T-Mobile about three weeks later to cancel her moms phone (even offers to send the death certificate) but shes told she CANT cancel. Shell have to pay out the entire two-year contract. She asks to speak to a supervisor and is given the same story. Thats why she called us. I knew it was difficult terminating a cell-phone contract early, but this is crazy. Ive got calls out to T-Mobile and, so far, have been told what happened to this woman is against T-Mobile policy. But if you Google this issue, youll find lots of other similar complaints from other T-Mobile subscribers. T-Mobile is now reimbursing her the 13 months she paid for her deceased moms phone, but Im concerned that it took a tv station to get it accomplished.
