Had a wonderful evening last night with Jason who came over to visit Kevin as he recuperates from a week of radiation therapy and watch Sherrie Renee Scotts wonderful Broadway show Everyday Rapture. The show (and Jasons company) provided a much needed respite from the daily grind of Kevins radiation therapy, now on day 9 of 16. Thanks to the generosity of our good friend Cheryl who drives us to the hospital for each and every one of his daily 8 am appointments the process is remarkably easy takes less than 2 hours door to door. Though getting his daily dose of cancer killing radiation does leave Kevin absolutely exhausted for the rest of the day, we should hopefully start seeing its effect on the targeted tumor soon and any shrinkage that takes place will increase Kevins ability to eat the foods his loves and get the nutrition he needs every day. If that happens, Im sure well be just as happy as Sherrie Renee Scott is when singing the cover of Judy Garlands Get Happy in her show Heres a link to it if you want to see what I mean.
