Had an awesome flight today. Decided to fill her up to the top and head out on a solo cross country. For those of you who know me, I made that wing cam, wing rocket. It worked out very nice. I headed north up the RAK coast line for about 26 km and turned back. It was sun down on my approach, well truth be told, it was 10-15 minutes past sundown, so had logged my first no sun landing. I know Im supposed to have a head wind out and a tail wind back in, but I dont have that option. Either cool beaches or vast dessert, I chose option A. I still had about 5 inches of fuel when I landed. The landing not so great.. Lucky for me, both cams went dead 3 minutes before landing, not even I get to see it. No wind landings are literally for the birds... Well I made my video based on what I heard the other day. Uncut, unedited (minus the launch prep) we all know thats boring and no music. So I made all of you an hour and 22 minute movie. Feel free to scroll through it, watch the whole thing, or dont watch it at all. Hope you enjoy the beaches of the UAE. BTW, I already got scolded on the H2o flying. I can assure you, I am a certified scuba diver, (open water) and those waters are tested to be less than 6 feet deep at the point I was flying over, minus the times I climbed. So no use beating a dead horse. ;) the vid should be out late tomorrow..
