Had an unbelievable day today. Had to post. 70 degrees in Idaho, 17 degrees over the norm, so of course we went fishing. Couldnt believe how many people were down at the river with the same idea. It looked like a tournament going on. So Im in the water, catch a fish too small to keep. Had a little trouble getting the hook out, trying to be careful. Let the fish go, but it wouldnt swim and up comes a blue heron. He gobbles the fish up whole. He stays about 20 ft. from me while Im fishing, waiting, I presume for another snack. It was so cool. To top it off, a beaver kept swimming around me. Of all the times Ive spent down at the river, never once have I seen a beaver and heres one swimming circles around me. It was amazing. What a wonderful day.
