Had half the mind to vlog about the Hong LIm Park incident - TopicsExpress

Had half the mind to vlog about the Hong LIm Park incident yesterday. Wanted to make my thoughts more real, instead of just a status update. The event yesterday really affected me quite a bit. But a status update is sufficient for now i guess. To start, Im not pro-government and Im not pro-CPF. I believe there are ammendments to be made to perfect the system. But, no, I wouldnt want Roy Ngerng and Han Hui Hui to lead the protest. Yes, it was Nparks mistake in allocating both events on the same day; from their experience, there were couple of events that were held on the same day at Hong LIm park on the same day before. They assumed the Anti-CPF and YMCA event to go on without any problem. Oh boy were they wrong.... I had the utmost respect for Roy when he spoke against PM when and got sued thereafter. But my respect for him was lost when he first apologized, and then when requested for a pardon, after his appeal was rejected, he turned against his apology again, claiming that he was never wrong.. -.- HHH, on the otherhand, has speeches that touches on the emotions on the audiences. And a couple of occasions asked why MM is not dead yet. No matter how hateful you are, to wish for someones death, or to wish for a cancer relaspe? It says alot about your character. Opposition supporters do not need people like you. My point? These two individuals have their own personal agenda for fame. Many individuals had hijack worthy causes just for their own personal agenda. To Roy, I know there is a need for you to prove that you will triumph, since you are laballed as a bad guy, and yes, I sympathize that you are a victim for speaking up.. But its enough, yesterdays event says it all. Both individuals had the plan to disrupt YMCAs event from the very beginning. They knew MP Teo Ser Luck will be gracing the YMCA event and had every intention to get his attention regardless the event. For Roy, it was history in the making, to protest infront of a Minister, HE had made SINGAPORE history. But at what expense? At the expense of the performance put up by a special needs children. From the map of Hong LIm Park, its very obvious that the area was split into two sections. And there is no reason to have the anti-CPF protest sharing the same section as YMCA. It would definitely deter the crowd away from YMCA and disrupt the YMCA event (HHH had made that pretty clear on social media). Indeed there were no law, no rules to quote that says you have to be in the other section. But with common sense, a bit of compassion and courtesy, pushing aside your own biasness, you would most naturally move to the other section. To conclude? STOP. Just stop already. Yea, many would say its a conspiracy, its a trap set by the government, with YMCA.. But what is done, is done. I dont want these two individuals giving us, pro-oppostion, supporters a bad name. Neither does these two individuals speak for the majoirty of SIngaporeans. Nparks might take action against you two, but its not the decision of the PAP, but the decision of the people. The people that you fought for are disgusted by your behaviour, and the people demands acton to be taken against you two. At the end of the day, democracy will triumph.
